Landscaping a new neighbourhood in Allerød

A new privately run nursing home with 120 housing units will be the first installment in Teglværkskvarteret – an upcoming neighbourhood in the Municipality of Allerød designed for mixed age groups.

MASÚ Planning is leading the landscape design, and partner Sune Oslev explains:

“Our goal is to create a lush, natural, and social environment that brings nature experiences right to residents’ doorsteps. Climate adaptation and rainwater management are integral to the design, and the wetland areas will allow for diverse plant life and wildlife.”

Once fully developed, Teglværkskvarteret will offer a range of senior-friendly housing options, including the nursing home, senior-suitable residences, a 50+ housing community, and an intergenerational co-housing community.

NORD Architects are consultants on the master plan, which is being developed in close collaboration between Pension Danmark, Diakonissestiftelsen, Erik Arkitekter, and MASÚ Planning.

Pension Danmark and the Municipality of Allerød have signed a development agreement for the 60,500 m² plot.
